been in NorCal for about a week now - hence the lack of posts.

have been witnessing the unfolding of the next (possible) World Series champs since their final playoff win last Thursday night and the range of how it's all been playing out... see this, this, and this for starters.

and finally, as most of you know,  i'm not a big fan of most things FM - but it seems that whenever i am scanning the radio dials and happen to land upon the big guilty pleasure of top dance/pop stations - they're belting this baby out. although very obviously commercial and over-the-top, the bass lows on it are quite moving, especially when your subwoofer is pumping. i decided to make it my official Norcal road trip anthem.

so what do Paris, Lindsay, Katie, Kim K, et al. have in common?
they're all has-beens.

that's right. i said it - yesterday's news... kablooey... kahput!... done son.

the new bad girl on the scene is none other than T-Moms... Taylor Momsen that is.

she's ready to crack out of her proverbial GOSSIP GIRL shell and wreak some true havoc on the world. And something tells me she's just getting started.

I found myself in a somewhat frantic hurry earlier this evening - trying to find some tear sheets for a new client that would show her the right mix of "mid-century modern" meets "smart, laid-back bohemian" meets... well, you get the idea...

and i'm still searching. It seems that it always ends up being more of a cross between "I'll know it when I see it" mixed with a little bit of "I know I saw that similar look in such-and-such publication" blitzkrieg moments of scrambling to find years of (mentally) rolodexed imagery so that I can then try to sell said client on the look.

Thankfully in the interim, I did manage to come across this rather serendipitous image to remind me to take a deep breath and take it down a notch or two, becuase y'know, they usually turn up when and where I least expect them to.
