the grammys haven't been able to capture a ton of youth-market viewership in the past - all we can do is wait and see what this year really has in store i guess. whether the grammys becomes synonymous with "grammies" (grandmas in plural form) in the future remains to be seen...
AFTERSHOW UPDATE: Looks like the Academy HAS strategically thought out its future existence and decided to go after real musicians followers and passionate indie music lovers alike on their road to recovery (eg esperanza spalding, the arcade fire, etc.)... #bieberFAIL
